Recently, I painted our family members using the same little wooden dolls I paint for the Wooden Painted Saints. The kids have been enjoying playing with the whole collection of saints and family members and we have found them in various predicaments…in every corner of the house.
There is a reason I have been painting little wooden saints…and why Adam has had ample opportunity to put painted saints in the dungeon.
You see, I decided to set the stage for a Passion Play and I decided to fit all of Jesus’ Public Ministry on earth …into an egg carton.
I just recently painted our family on wooden pegs, complete with Grandpa, Grandma and Uncle Steve.
I’m actually working on another special craft to use with the Wooden Painted Saints for Holy Week and I’ve had a lot of helpers eager to paint…and entertain the little painted peg people.
Our Wooden Painted Saints attracted a lot of attention at the IHM conference in Virginia! We had quite a few people asking to place orders for their own set!
These little wooden peg people are really fun to make so I thought that I would post a proper step-by-step tutorial. I have been particularly impressed with the tutorial picture style of this website and have tried to make my own version!
In 2012, I painted quite a few wooden dolls into saints.
I came up with a few fun ways to use the Wooden Saint Dolls…like the Saints-To-Go in an Altoids tin…for travel!
I decided to dig them out again…and once again find things my kids love to do…and add the Saints!
