It is true… I am a fan of the Saints. I have eagerly read about a number of them over the years and I just keep getting blown away by their lives, their Faith and their examples of Holiness. In my passion for researching the saints, I have in the last year released a number of craft kits featuring my 15 year old daughter’s drawings of over 44 Saints!

Excerpts from A Treasure Chest of Traditions for Catholic Families , various posts at Equipping Catholic Families and our Saint Scripts Craft Kits (Series ONE and TWO).
Pope John Paul II was our Holy Father from 1978-2005. He wrote many important Catholic documents, traveled extensively throughout the world, welcomed millions of pilgrims and worked to reconcile denominations and restore democracy and religious freedom in communist countries.
Pilgrimage to Rome: Video!
I returned from my Pilgrimage to Rome TWO weeks ago TODAY…and I’m still walking through beautiful Churches and Basilicas in my dreams, each night!
I tried to keep it relatively short to keep your attention: TWO weeks in FIFTEEN MINUTES:
Preaching on a Pilgrimage
This a quick tour of our 11 days in Rome, Florence, Assisi and Naples, centering around the daily homilies of Fr Scott McCaig.
Feast of St Padre Pio (Mass in the Chapel of the Pallotine Sisters)
Fr. Scott talked about 3 things about Rome:

I like to follow. Heading off for a pilgrimage with 27 people was a little daunting. I was wondering how that was going to work, touring busy Churches and sacred sites! I learned that I really like to follow the leader with the umbrella, totally free from testing my faulty navigational skills. I like having the saint relics, tombs and significant artwork pointed out to me…because I don’t want to miss a thing.
It happened on a double decker bus in Rome
The biggest influence on my Faith and prayer life has been a special priest I have known for almost 22 years. In these years of friendship, homilies and spiritual direction, I’ve picked up a pretty prominent theme from his teaching and from his example.
Rome Day Nine
I have actually seen the Pantheon before….but drawing it makes me feel like I’m in Architecture School again!
Rome Day Seven: our new Pope Francis Prayer Card!
Today, we will go to Mass at St Peter’s Basilica and stay to pray the Angelus with Pope Francis at noon! We are also planning on attending the Papal Audience on Wednesday (the Feast of St Therese!). One way or another…I will have our own Equipping Catholic Families Pope Francis Prayer Cards with me, to receive a general blessing from Pope Francis!
Rome Day Six
Off to Assisi!
We prayed at the tomb of St Francis today…and then we prayed at the tomb of St Clare and saw relics from both awesome Saints! What a great day!
