Heart Cross Banner

Just like the Weight of the Cross Lenten Activity, this Heart Cross Banner helps us identify our sins.  The little hearts are added to record the good deeds and the virtues we practice in thanks for Jesus’ Suffering for our sins.

This activity also encourages us to recognize our sin, placing it on the Cross and resolving to overcome it through God’s Grace.

We record our sins on the little construction paper crosses, pinning or gluing them to the big brown cross.

When we do good deeds, we record them on the little red hearts, placing them on top of the little brown crosses.

We recognize that Jesus is the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world, but we know that it pleases Him when we love and serve one another, when we are kind to one another through our actions, our words, our virtues and attitudes. Pinning the little heart over the little cross represents our intentions to overcome sin and to love and serve one another.
