All about Advent and Christmas {Review}

by Katherine Bogner and Shari Van Vranken

Katherine Bogner is the Catholic Teacher I’d want to be…and the Teacher every kid in Catholic School would love. I am so excited about Katherine’s book All About Advent and Christmas: Sharing the Seasons of Hope & Wonder With Children, illustrated and designed by Shari Van Vranken.

This book is a comprehensive compilation of the Traditions and Teachings of the Liturgical Seasons of Advent and Christmas. I really think it’s the best and most beautiful book on Advent and Christmas that I have ever seen!

The illustrations on every page beautifully present the rich practices in exquisite detail. There’s even a special section on the Saints of Advent!

Articulate explanations are accompanied by references from the Catechism, quotes from (illustrated) Saints and lesser-known, interesting facts.

Easy, family-friendly liturgical practices are gracefully introduced, easily inspiring the reader to add to their family celebration of each liturgical season, with ease and wonder.

I have a feeling that Volume 2 will be in the works for Lent and Easter…and I can’t wait!
