Immediately following the Solemnity of Pentecost last Sunday, we are officially launched into Ordinary Time! This longer of the two periods of Ordinary Time in the Liturgical Calendar takes us through the whole summer and fall and ends on the Feast of Christ the King; the last Sunday before Advent and the new Liturgical Calendar begins.

Yesterday, Bridget received her Confirmation! We’re so proud of Bridget and the beautiful, talented and faith-filled young lady she is becoming!
She has been preparing all year through our Parish and watching the Chosen series* by Ascension Press throughout 10 evening sessions.

Equipping Catholic Families is very much a family apostolate and as our five kids one by one step into the teenage and young adult years, our family ministry seems to be maturing as well. We will continue to present #catholiccrafts featuring our Catholic Craft Kits, Quizzing Cards and Books while we recognize the changing needs of our own little family with our Catholic kids emerging into adulthood. While my kids still humor me for the most part as I pull from storage our Catholic crafts and heirlooms to celebrate the Seasons and Feast Days of the Liturgical Calendar, I recognize that these little Catholic crafts, practices and programs will likely lose precedence, except for a few little nostalgic tokens, at least until grandchildren become part of our family dynamic yippee, I can’t wait!

With our own custom Super Saints artwork for over 60 Saints, I’m pleased to be able to add new Saints Stamps to the shop as they are requested by customers. I was happy to include the St Benedict medal graphic behind St Benedict’s head. It almost looks like a very specialized halo.

Every year I start off in pursuit of the best Lent evaa (queue any one of my kids quoting Matt Kelly) and I start out with resolutions for giving up things, taking on things and elaborate programs for my kids. This year will be no different, although I feel a little better prepared!
