It’s been kind of a blur of activity since Easter…away for the NCEA conference and 3 big family birthdays! I’m finally getting around to showing you the neat stuff I discovered at the National Catholic Education Association conference!
Our friend Joseph generously gave me FIVE Prayer Pillowcases (of my choice!) for my five kids! With over 23 designs to pick from, I made some careful decisions!
When I returned home with Saint Michael the Archangel, St Thérèse, St John Paul II, St Joseph and Sacred Heart of Jesus/Immaculate Heart of Mary, I thought I knew exactly which kid would choose which pillowcase.
My eldest daughter rolled her eyes a little bit because she suspected that I would be taking pictures of each of the kids with their heads on their new pillowcases. Aah, she knows me well.
I decided to volunteer Adam only…for the modeling shots. Adam was fascinated with Joseph’s pillow of Saint Michael the Archangel. 
Boys like knights and swords (and archangels!). 
I opted to give Adam the St Joseph pillowcase once Joseph took first dibs on the St Michael pillowcase. 
I had originally planned to give Adam (John Paul) the St John Paul pillowcase and accidentally sneak it on my pillow because I love St John Paul II, but my 18 year old chose the St John Paul II pillowcase and explained that she would like to take it with her to her dorm next year at University and how can I argue with that? I let Adam model that one too. 
I had suspected that Emily would choose her other favorite saint St Thérèse, but Bridget (Thérèse) quickly picked that one up.

I’d choose Sacred and Immaculate Hearts, because my mom always used to write the name of JESUS on an index card and place it in our pillowcase. There is power in the name of JESUS! As my second design, I’d choose the Guardian Angel, because we pray that prayer before bed.

The first choice is easy as my youngest has a birthday on 9-29 feast of St Michael. Number two is harder as both boys LOVE St. JP2 but also St Patrick is a favorite and has been a go to for All Saints 3 years in a row. And honestly, I would love on. So hard to pick!

My eldest would LOVE the Saint Michael!! My Littlest would love Our Lady of Guadalupe- he has been totally devoted to her since he was about 3- he’s all of 5 now and still has to stop and pray a Hail Mary everytime we pass her image at our church!! Oh, I so want the St. Michael and Saint John Paul II. I have a devotion to both of those saints and I would use one of the pillow cases as someone who is chronically ill. These are wonderful.
