Book Binding for the Reconciliation Reader

Did you see the NEW Sacraments with the Saints Reconciliation Reader Craft Kit we launched yesterday?

It’s a 34 page booklet or carousel to help prepare for, celebrate and record the Sacrament of Reconciliation!

Today we’re going to show how we did our own book binding to create a durable little reader!

Step One:

Print out the Reconciliation Reader templates, folding each sheet and using glue or double-sided tape to adhere the folded sheets together by their blank covers, as per the instructions within the kit!

Step Two:

Use duct tape on the spine of the booklet, covering the folded edge of all of the printed templates.

Step Three:

Choose the color template or the black and white covers, trimming the pages in half to 8.5″x5.5″. Glue them to the blank covers with a glue stick or double-sided tape.

Step Four:

Let the child record their name on the front cover and fill out the Sacrament and Faith info on the back. They can also draw or add a photo of themselves to the back cover.

  1. Your Reconciliation Reader is perfect for my daughter who is receiving the sacrament in about two weeks but I would love to get the First Communion reader too. When will that be out? (Or I guess I should just get the Reconciliation Reader now since she won’t be receiving Holy Communion until May) Thanks!

    • There is a First Communion Reader craft kit in the works, but it will totally build on the Reconciliation Reader! Not very much overlap…both readers will be helpful! Watch for updates in the next week or two!
