July 3rd is the Feast Day of St Thomas, the Apostle! He is the patron of Architects!
St Thomas is the Apostle who would not believe that Jesus had risen from the dead until he felt the Wounds with his own hands.
He was nicknamed “Doubting Thomas”.
Jesus said to St Thomas
“You believe because you see Me. Happy are those who have not seen and yet believe.” John 20:29
Pray for the Gift of Faith, to believe without having to always see proof or hear justification.

Have YOU made your own set of Wooden Painted Saints? Scale the buildings’ windows and doors to fit the Wooden Painted Saints for your very own City of God Playset! Check out this Wooden Painted Saint Tutorial and start making your own set of the Apostles!
APOSTLE PAINTED SAINTS: Use special symbols as much as possible to make each Apostle distinct. St Peter can hold a key and a fishing net, St Jude holds a medallion of the Face of Jesus. Other Apostles have symbols reflecting the way they were martyred for their Faith. St Thomas was killed by spears…you’ll notice that he is often portrayed holding one!
PAINTED SAINT TIPS:
If you would like to add intricate detail that is difficult to paint, print a scaled down image of the object or draw the object with pencil, pencil crayons or markers…cut out the little pieces and glue them to the body of the wooden painted saint, where appropriate. A clear coat of varnish protects the wooden painted saint, makes them shiny and durable for play.
