Awesome day to be Catholic! We’re basking in Divine Mercy Sunday, waking up this morning to the canonization of 2 Popes by 2 Popes! We know a little bit about St John XXIII, but we’re a little biased and unapologetic for our love for St John Paul II!

Cat Grass Easter Garden Craft
I have never owned a cat and I really can’t say for sure what pet owners would use the Jiffy Cat Grass Kit for, but in the depths of Lent while we were still getting inches of snow, this was the best soil and seed pack I could find for the Easter Garden craft I’ve always wanted to make!

Jesus is Risen! (Egg Carton Jesus)
Indeed, He is risen!
I have been looking for ways to encourage sustained celebration for the full 50 days of Easter! You may have seen my 50 DIY Kinder Surprise Eggs.
Although I have made a couple Jesus crafts like our Wooden Painted Saint series and our TY Doll Makeovers, I decided that I needed an Egg Carton Jesus to round out my growing collection of Egg Carton Saints!
Crown of Thorns Bread for Good Friday
The Crown of Thorns dough wreath with toothpicks is a countdown craft for Lent. It’s also a Lenten activity in my book A Treasure Chest of Traditions for Catholic Families.
The toothpicks are inserted as a way to count sacrifice and count down to Easter.
Seder Supper 2014
While our Seder Supper Free Printable has been very popular, it has sparked some controversy about whether or not Catholics should celebrate the Seder Supper.
I found this article (Salt & Light) helpful…along with this article that it borrows from, written by Joe Paprocki.
Prep for a Pilgrimage
Anyone attending the Canonization of Blessed John Paul II and Blessed John XXIII
in less than TWO WEEKS?
I know it will be wonderful! I will have to be content with experiencing it vicariously through Mike and Sue Denz and St Gemma’s Catholic Pilgrimages and the news coverage on TV and online. I will however be experiencing an awesome pilgrimage to Rome September 22-October 3, 2014 and I’m already SO excited!
