7 Quick Takes for Advent!
- Advent Wreath with 3 purple and 1 pink candles? Can’t find the right color candles? Here’s a method to paint candles! Alternatively, mod-podge purple/pink tissue paper on the outside of the glass of votive candles, make your own DIY baby jar votive candles or in a pinch…use purple/pink ribbons tied around white candles
- Is your store-bought advent calendar missing the Reason for the season? There are many beautiful countdown-to-Christmas calendars with buttons and bows, felt Christmas scenes and toy box drawers. Consider filling your calendar pockets with Nativity figures, prayers and Holy Medals. (Advent Prayer Pockets Craft Kit…coming soon!)
- Santa’s on TV, Santa’s at the mall…what does your Letter to the Christ Child say?
- Extra Mass, confession, Adoration
- Take advantage of Advent reflections available for a little extra focused prayer time! Fr. Barron’s Devotional from Word on Fire; Blessed is She Daily Devotions; Advent Reflection Books: see Reviews below!
- Journey with Jesus through the Jesse Tree; Hands-ON Nativity!
- Operation Christmas Child, buy a piglet through World Vision, support your local Food Bank
