This is a beautiful book, filled with pictures from the Holy Land, exquisite artwork and maps, along with Fr Pacwa’s commentary on each site. Relevant Scripture and prayers “focusing on a personal faith response to the spiritual events commemorated at each site turn the book into a private pilgrimage, enjoyed from the comfort of your home.”
I gave this book to my Mom because although she did visit the Holy Land, it was a whirlwind tour! They saw so many monumental sites, taking pictures at every one….it was hard to appreciate each experience, and even identify all of the sites in the pictures. This book encapsulates even more sites than she visited, and explains them and offers thoughtful meditation on their significance. For those of us who have not been to the Holy Land, the book offers a rich experience of each site, taking our familiarity with Scriptural events to a new level.
