5 Cool Catholic Crafts and Family Traditions for Holy Week

Holy Week is here!

1. Sorrowful Mysteries DIY Votive Candles

We recycled our burnt-down votive candles and replaced the holy images with the Sorrowful Mysteries from the Mysteries of the Rosary Craft Kit. The images in the craft kit are already in color and are easily adhered to the jars!

See the full tutorial here: DIY Lenten Votive Candles

2. Stations of the Cross Carousel

This has been one of our most popular crafts of all time! Make a table carousel with the Stations of the Cross color images. If you want to extend the activity (and save ink!), print out the black and white versions and let the kids color them before assembling the carousel.

All you need is this craft kit: Stations of the Cross Craft Kit

3. Painted Saints Passion Play

Do you have Painted Saints already? We have the small 1.25″ version and have made a whole set for the Passion Play out of an Egg Carton and a Passion Play with an Ice Cream Tub!

4. Stations of the Cross and Divine Mercy Abacus

Use the Stations of the Cross and Divine Mercy Abacus Craft Kit for praying the Stations of the Cross this week and for keeping track of the Divine Mercy Novena prayers starting on Good Friday!

5. Simplified Seder Supper

Print out this Simplified Seder Supper in preparation for Holy Thursday’s special celebration, respectfully drawing a connection between the traditional Jewish Passover and the Institution of the Eucharist.
