When Jesus’ Body was removed, the Cross was hidden so that followers would not find it. About 300 years later the True Cross was found! Constantine the Great had a vision of the Cross which led him to victory. In response, Constantine had the image of the Cross placed on the shields of his soldiers. Although stolen in 614 by the King of Persia, the Cross was restored in its proper place in the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in 629.
Sounds like the ultimate Treasure Hunt to me! Purchase or make little crosses and hide them in the backyard or house for a Treasure Hunt! …And if we happen to miss finding one or two on the hunt, what a great reminder it will be for us when we randomly find a colorful cross behind a couch or poking out of the garden…in the months to come!

Cross cookie cutters are relatively easy to find…or a Cross-shaped cake would be easy to make, but we opted for these ridiculously-easy Wafer Cookie Crosses! We chose chocolate-filled wafer cookies because we had them on hand…but you could find double chocolate ones just as easy! 
- With a sharp serrated knife, carefully cut a (1/2 cookie deep) section out of the center of one cookie, matching the width of a single wafer cookie. We opted to trim about 1/4″ off each end of this cookie for a shorter horizontal piece of the cross.
- Cut the same width size section (1/2 cookie deep) to one side of the center of the other wafer cookie.
- Fit the 2 cookies together, gluing them with extra icing, if you have it!
