We’ve got a new set of little Wooden Painted Saints! Lacy released her Printable Resurrection Set this week and once again, I converted them to the smaller 1.75″ peg doll size and made 2 sets.
This set includes a couple shocked guards, 2 women who are pretty surprised to find the Empty Tomb…and St. Mary Magdalene with her special oil to anoint Jesus with her Rapunzel hair!
The set also includes two angels standing outside the Empty Tomb, the Resurrected Jesus, Mother Mary (at Pentecost) and the Apostle St. John.
I tried a few different approaches to the faces (eyes) and mod-podged the bodies in place.
When I found it a little difficult to match the hair of the printable with the acrylic paint colors I have, I just added a little paint to the body to help match the hair across the head and down the shoulders.
The mod podge seals it all in…and makes it look pretty consistent!
While I still have the Egg Carton Passion Play set which fits the little Wooden Painted Saints really well, I’ve got a couple other ideas up my sleeve for other Passion Play and Empty Tomb stage and storage options! Make sure that you’re subscribed for updates!
Adam took the Passion Set to school today for show ‘n tell! He knows most of the characters…and most of the story!
We’re building quite the army of little Wooden Painted Saints!
