This is a beautiful, comprehensive book of classic prayers and devotions associated with the Feast Days and Seasons of the Liturgical Calendar.

Kendra’s Introduction to the book in her veteran-mom, witty writing style presents the basics of prayer, the liturgical calendar, indulgences, novenas and devotions along with what prayer looks like within her family, with ten kids from baby to teenager. The rest of the book follows the order of the calendar months beginning with December, the start of the Liturgical Calendar. Chapters include Movable Feasts associated with the Seasons of Lent, Holy Week, Easter, Pentecost and after Eastertide.

Kendra has done a masterful job of curating all of the classic devotions associated with the Saints Days and Seasons, the official Scriptural readings associated with the specific liturgies, the Collect Prayer from the Roman Missal for each particular Feast Day and the classic prayers attributed to each Saint for their Feast Day or Memorial. Novenas are presented in their entirety and situated chronologically by the ideal date of the first day of the nine days of prayer.

Complimenting Tierney’s The Catholic All Year Compendium: Liturgical Living for Real Life, these two resources offer irreplaceable preparation and the entire script for the celebration of all the main occasions of the Liturgical Calendar.
