Just recently, we released the Kelly Saints Blessing Cards…a craft kit to print your own stash of All Catholic Occasion Greeting Cards! With the purchase of the kit, you have permission to copy, so you can print another collection of awesome Catholic cards, add invitation envelopes and put them in a dollar store gift box…and give them to your favorite Catholic penpal or serious greeting-card-sender. Great for Grandmas who love to send hand-written notes, but can’t readily hit Hallmark.
The watercolored Kelly SaintsTM images are also great for other crafts and customized gifts!
I found these awesome chalkboard covered plastic ornaments on clearance at Michaels…and I had an idea…
I resized the images from the craft kit a little bit…you could do the same by printing at a reduced scale…once you’ve measured the ornaments you’d like to use. I made little cuts around the circle so that the paper would fit the curved surface. These ornaments are kind of like flattened ball ornaments, so the images adhere pretty well without a lot of buckling. They’re not perfect (see thunderbolt crease on Baby Jesus’ head) but once again I think that that will add to their charm.
I found that the silver and gold metallic markers from the dollar store work really well to add Year of Mercy 2015-2016!
I got excited…and didn’t quite finish adding mod-podge all over the ornaments. Here’s how they look on our tree!
I can customize them with family members’ names, “Christmas 2015” or “Year of Mercy 2015-2016” and then I’ll seal them all up with mod podge for a shiny finish!
