Small Success Thursday 1

I think there is a lot of wisdom to this resurrected feature at CatholicMom.com called

Small Success Thursdays at CatholicMom.com

and I’m going to try and take part in this…regularly!

I think Lisa Hendey was talking to me:

“If you’re like me, you have a tendency to ponder the items on your to do list that go undone rather than patting yourself on the back for the many things you do accomplish each week. And by sharing your own little triumphs and reading those of others, you are motivated for the week ahead and reminded to give thanks to God — the source of even the tiniest successes — for his bounty.”

So here are my THREE small successes from the last week.

St_Ben_to_St_Juan

1. TWO NEW Saint-packed craft kits, completed, edited, and released at Equipping Catholic Families, on time for All Saints Day.

Saint Scripts Cathletics Craft Kits, Series ONE and TWO

OK, this was more than a small success for me… I’m pretty excited about it.

It represents a lot of work, compiling Kelly’s drawings and all the Saint info for 42 Saints!

These kits has been in the works in one form or another for over 5 years!

Jesse Tree Treasures Giveaway2. Review of Jesse Tree Treasures…and launched a GIVEAWAY (active NOW!) for one Heirloom 28-piece set of Jesse Tree Ornaments.

You can enter the Jesse Tree Treasures GIVEAWAY here!

3. My awesome husband went ahead and booked a HOTEL for the two of us for a belated birthday present for me, last night….and he only told me, the day before!!

Yes, he booked us away MID-WEEK and with thanks to my awesome Mom who oversaw the 5 kids…the kids ate, bathed, did homework, got the garbage out and collated newspapers for the Joe’s paper route today…without me!

Feeling rested and loved!

  1. Wow, what a great husband and mom! Sounds like a lovely little retreat.
I’ve never been here so I’m excited to know about more Catholic resources. That give away sounds like something I need, I’m pretty unorganized so I thank you for all the work you do to provide and share these great resources! I’m running a give away for a hand made toy bag now on my blog also. I’ll have to hook up with you another time for another give away.

  2. Happy belated birthday!

  3. Yeah for a mid-week getaway! That was so sweet of your husband. I hope you had a lovely birthday.

  4. That #3 is a great success–even more so because you allowed it to happen; you allowed someone else to come in and take care of the kids so you could enjoy the day. Happy birthday!

  5. A mid-week getaway. That sounds like a little slice of heaven to me. I’m workin’ your giveaway!! Past two days now, it’s a great one! Enjoy that mid-week break bliss just a little longer.

  6. Sounds like you did quite a lot.
I think it is way easier to be discouraged about what we didn’t get done rather than celebrating what we did get done.
You have five children and you run this site and countless other things.
I’m pretty sure you have WAY more success than you think. WAY MORE.
    God is good….

    Blessings,
    Emily

  7. Happy belated birthday! Sounds like an awesome week!
