Did you make a resolution to get better organized in 2013? I did! I also want to study more saints…and add to my Painted Saints collection and
Super Saint Trivia Cards!
Top Four Ideas to use the Monthly Saint Divider Pages!
Free Printable included!
1. Family Binder: I have seen many versions of this on Pinterest…including schedules, pockets for important school newsletters, calendars with appointments recorded, pockets for receipts, appointment cards, coupons, Christmas cards to respond to!, important phone number listings including the kids’ friends’ numbers!
Notice that 3 additional holes are included in the template, if printing for a regular size 8.5″x11″ binder.
2. Saint Study: This is the time to pick a new family patron saint! Several websites will do this for you including Totus Tuus Family and The Patron Saint of the Year Ministry.
How about learning about a different saint each month? Store research pages and final reports within the corresponding month section. Purchase the collector card inserts (9 cards to a page) for easy access to holy cards.
3. Holy Card Collection: This is the original intention of the Monthly Saint Divider Pages.
See the Aquinas and More Prayer Card Binder…and the reason for this particular template size. Notice that 3 additional holes are included in the template, if printing for a regular size 8.5″x11″ binder.
4. Saint-Inspired Prayer Journal: I am excited to find a few different books and apps to jumpstart my prayer-life for the new year…like The Better Part (available as a book, ebook and app) and I was pleased to discover that Canadians are now allowed access to Amazon kindle…I even managed to get a free copy of Holly Gerth’s Do What You Can Plan that I can read on my ipad!
I find it helpful to read Scripture and write my reflection on it. It often turns into a written prayer. Prayer journaling has always helped me to focus. I like how deliberate and tangible it is…and it’s pretty neat to read entries weeks or years later, look for promptings from the Holy Spirit and reflecting on how the Lord has responded to my prayer…especially prayer from the heart. I think these Monthly Saint Divider Pages may remind us of the crowd we’d like to pray with. These saints are awesome mentors for our spiritual lives!
