I have decided that rather than wondering if I need to stick to more of a schedule for posting at Equipping Catholic Families, I’m going to jump into a few of the well-known scheduled and linked posts, like Small Success Thursdays at CatholicMom.com and 7 Quick Takes Friday over at ConversionDiary.com and see which one I like best…and how much scheduled posting I can possibly manage week after week.

I have to admit…I have never created, assembled or purchased a Jesse Tree set of ornaments, but I know that it’s an awesome tradition to refocus Advent away from the Santa epidemic. Santa is nice and all, but we prefer to keep the focus on the birth of Jesus… and keep Him the reason we exchange presents.

My First Book of Saints is a great little hardcover book profiling 62 saints in an easy-to-read format.
The full page illustrations are nice and colorful and the extra little text box on each biography summarizes where and when the saint lived and the Feast Day we have to celebrate the saint’s life, and is highlighted for easy reference.
