When Jesus’ Body was removed, the Cross was hidden so that followers would not find it. About 300 years later the True Cross was found! Constantine the Great had a vision of the Cross which led him to victory. In response, Constantine had the image of the Cross placed on the shields of his soldiers. Although stolen in 614 by the King of Persia, the Cross was restored in its proper place in the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in 629.

We have already released the Super Saints Craft Kit for those who just couldn’t wait to play with these unique quizzing cards and we’ve already had a number of awesome Catholic families tell us about how much fun they’ve been having, playing with these cards!

We have all heard the Nativity story, seen reenactments of Jesus’ Birth in school plays, Church pageants and even on the big screen. Santa Claus is pretty prevalent too, and we’re looking for ways to overpower the looming inflatable Santa Claus and Frosty that have adorned the house next door since mid-November.

This is our Crown of Thorns for this Lent.
The toothpicks will slowly be removed and eventually replaced with flowers, as we sacrifice, do good deeds, say extra prayers
…or choose not to complain.

As I prayed about what I should ‘do’ this year for Lent, this is what I felt I was being told.
“Choose not what you know you can be successful at,
but what will draw you closer to Me.”

Inspired by the Shower of Roses Jesus Tree post, I came up with my own paper version. Although I used some of the images from the kit that Shower of Roses posted, I added my own images for many of the days and formatted them into little stamps. I also added some stamps for Ash Wednesday, St. Patrick’s Day, the Solemnity of St. Joseph and Jesus’ Birth.
