Our Lady of Fatima by Donna-Marie Cooper O’Boyle

Having visited Fatima last fall on the eve of the 99th Anniversary of the Miracle of the Dancing Sun, this Devotion is close to my heart.

I appreciate the in-depth description of the Apparitions and the very human experiences of the children Our Lady appeared to in Our Lady of Fatima by Donna-Marie Cooper O’Boyle*

The book describes how the children were doubted and interrogated and how they bravely continued to pray and do penance and receive the monthly apparitions.

At the end of each chapter, Donna includes A Time to Reflect, In My Own Life and Prayer. Reflecting on the experiences and responses of the children, the author prompts us to reflect and consider what God is calling each one of us to do, to reflect on the experiences in our own lives that have led us closer or further from God. The author includes prayer asking Jesus to guide us and open our hearts and follow Him.

I really like Donna’s style of writing. Her thorough accounts of the Apparitions combined with the thoughtful reflection prompts and prayer really help to relay the messages of Fatima and compel the reader to step up prayer life and devotion to the daily Rosary.

Perfect timing…with the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary on October 7, the Anniversary of the Miracle of the Sun on October 13 and the Month of October devoted to the Rosary!
