Custom Lenten Prayer Journal

Here’s how I made my own first ever Custom Lenten Prayer Journal with the Prayer Journal Prompts Special Bundle Edition, along with my supply of Prayer Impressions Journal Stamps and using our illustrated 2017-2018 Calendar printable for easy reference!

I have picked up a bunch of fake-moleskin notebooks for $2 each at our local dollarstore. They are really nice, with thick-ish pages, an inside back cover pocket and an elastic to hold any loose paper or prayer cards in.

I printed out templates from the Prayer Journal Prompts Special Bundle (on full size label paper) for beautiful classic prayers I don’t quite have memorized plus a few trusty check-box novenas. The Pocket Prayer Prompts in A Little Way to Pray are also great little prayer prompts and bookmarks for the Lenten Prayer Journal (see below for more details on our latest deal!

I wrote a day of the week on each right hand page for each day of Lent. I added random prayer prompt stickers (printed on label paper) and stamped away with my Daily Check-In Stamp!  I used paint chips to make divider tabs for other sections in the notebook, in case I need more pages for journaling on a given day. I have a section for questions I save up to ask my favorite priest and a blue-tabbed section as I pray more intentionally for Our Lady’s guidance.

I also managed to leave room for the first week of Easter to keep track of the Divine Mercy Novena that begins on Good Friday and leads up to Divine Mercy Sunday.

It feels good to have figured out my personal program for Lent which is going to include no unhealthy snacks, more consistent exercise (I’m going to get back to running!) and breaking a particular habit that’s been on my heart to break.  This Custom Lenten Prayer Journal is going to help to keep me accountable!

I don’t like having blank pages…so hopefully these assigned journal pages will help get me prayer journaling each and every day of Lent and focused on my resolutions…and hopefully encourage me when I falter. These prayer prompts and journal stamps are really fun to use; they help to keep me focused and to streamline my daily check-in.

A Little Way to Pray

I’m using my favorite Pocket Prayer Prompts from A Little Way to Pray  as focused prompts as I continue to pray this new little way!
