I’ve been gearing up for Lent with a giant 40 Ways for 40 Days post of Lenten practices coming soon!
I have also been reworking past crafts from Equipping Catholic Families…and RE-making crafts from
A Treasure Chest of Traditions for Catholic Families,
just to take the photos to show them off.
So here it goes:
Here is a simple tutorial to make Good Deed Bead Bracelets
with satin cord and pony beads.
Each bead slides and stays in place, keeping track of good deeds, extra prayers and sacrifices throughout Lent.
This Lenten activity fosters an attitude of gratitude, encouraging kids to record what they are thankful for everyday.

This craft hasn’t quite been revealed yet…except in
A Treasure Chest of Traditions for Catholic Families
but if you subscribe to Equipping Catholic Families,
you’ll get the memo as soon as it’s posted!
This is a craft we created a few years ago called
Stepping Stones through Jesus’ Life,
tracing through the events of Jesus’ Life as a countdown to Easter.
This is our Crown of Thorns.
I have been told that the color version of this picture is actually offensive and looks like blood sausage adorned with fried onion rings.
You’ll have to go to the link above and tell me if you think that’s true.
I know that someone would be disappointed if I didn’t post one of our Cathletics Craft Kits and I actually have one specifically for LENT!
Check out the Advent and LENT Quest with THREE paper chains of Saints, Catechism and prayers to help countdown to Easter.
The Passion Play Peg People with the Ice Cream Tub Tomb is another favorite one of our crafts…but so is the Stations of the Cross Carousel!
You decide…which one is cooler?
These …and 32 other Lenten Activity ideas will be presented in our upcoming 40 Ways for 4o Days post as part of the 2nd Annual Keep Love in LENT Link-Up hosted by the Catholic Bloggers Network. You will find lots of great posts from our Catholic Bloggers! Hope to see you there!
