Review: I Went to Mass, What did I see?

What an awesome book this is for young Catholic kids!

I Went to Mass What did I see?

I received I Went to Mass What did I see? by Katie Warner and illustrated by Meg Whalen in exchange for my honest review…and it is such a sweet book!

My baby is now 8 years old, so this book is a little young for him, but it’s such a pretty book with adorable illustrations and text along the lines of Eric Carle’s Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? (Amazon link) that I’m having a hard time letting it go.

I love the soft, black and white illustrations with only a particular person, Church furnishing or holy vessel in detail and in color. The color is bright but soft and works really well with the pencil drawing and shading. Your kids are going to love these illustrations!

I love that the focus of each spread is a key element of the beautiful Mass: the treasures of our Faith including the priest, the altar, the crucifix, the incense, our family and the Eucharist!

The short lines of rhyming text in this familiar format is perfect for young kids up to the age that they are learning to read. Bringing the book to Mass offers a perfect opportunity to familiarize kids with what they see in the Church and build their devotion to the Eucharist.

Pick up your copy of this book at the following link…for your own child or Godchild.

I can’t wait for you to see it!
