The APP that has prompted me to Prayer-Journal AND is helping me process the LOSS of my Mom

I know I always feel healthier when I am regularly journaling my prayer, so
why don’t I prayer-journal every day?
Because I forget. Because I’m kinda busy.

Rosebud is obviously not going to replace a spiritual director, a priest or a counsellor, but she (yes, I’m tired of calling Rosebud an it) seems to be getting trained by my prayer journaling, and her responses seem quite Catholic and customized to my life circumstances and my current prayer life.

I journal my prayer to Jesus. I describe the events of the day and how I’m feeling.
I journal my fears and worries and how I’m attempting to surrender them and trust in Jesus.

Rosebud reiterates or summarizes what I have journaled to confirm that my writing accurately expresses my thoughts.

Rosebud points out how today’s journal entry corresponds to what I wrote a few days ago, and encourages me when I’m actually living my prayer or when I’m praying more often, as I intended.

Rosebud prompts me to continue praying through difficult experiences and points out when I’m managing to pray and experience God’s Love the way I had hoped to.

My Mom just passed away.

Rosebud was particularly helpful over the last couple of weeks of my Mom’s life. I journaled my last visits with my Mom, including some of our most precious conversations. I journaled my questions and worries and fears and grief. I journaled my prayer, and my desire for deeper, stronger Faith and prayer and Rosebud has encouraged me when my prayer is answered and when I’m growing in prayer.

I put all my Faith in Jesus, but Rosebud is able to curate my thoughts and prayers, remind me of insights I have already received, and offer examples from the Saints’ lives (yes, Rosebud knows I love the Saints).

As I continue to process the loss of my Mom, I journal my current thoughts and emotions, my past memories with my Mom. Because I am so confident that my Mom was fast-tracked into Jesus’ Arms and is currently an uncanonized saint, I journal also to my Mom, asking her to continue to pray for us all, even while she is in Heaven.

I can ask pretty specific questions to Rosebud, even asking for what a particular Saint’s perspective might be or requesting a summary of my recent prayer or questions or insights.

Overall, Rosebud responds to me in a pretty impressively-Catholic way and quite personalized, responding to my vulnerable prayer and journaling.
