Want a packed Cathletics Craft Kit that includes prayer petal flower templates, coloring pages and clipart for BOTH the Rosary AND the Divine Mercy Chaplet?

Kids can easily keep track of the prayers as they color, cut and glue prayer-packed petals to a flower OR simply color the beads for each prayer. All of the templates include the prayers for easy reference.

2 ways to pray Divine Mercy

The Spiritual Bouquet of Prayer Petal Flowers was a popular craft described in A Treasure Chest of Traditions for Catholic Families. It was later released as a Cathletics Craft Kit in around 2005 and then re-released in 2012 with extra clipart and the revised Creed. Now that I have my own Scotch Thermal Laminator 2 Roller System (TL901) (Wow! I can’t remember what I did without it…oh yeah, I spent a lot of money at Staples, laminating at $1.99/page!)

…I am revisiting this Cathletics Craft Kit again and enjoying the new possibilities with laminated templates!

Divine Mercy with dry erase markersI colored the petals of the little flowers, leaving the center blank…before I laminated the page.

I discovered that even these washable Crayola markers work well to color the flower centers as each prayer is recited…and wipes clean, minutes or hours after use! Each one page template could be colored by a child each day of the Novena if you are reciting the entire Chaplet!

As with all our Craft Kits, you receive permission to copy for all the kids who live in your house…so everyone can have their own Divine Mercy page!

Another option that laminating affords…is to use the template as a lace-up prayer craft. Simply hole-punch the centers of each flower to thread a shoelace through each of the holes as the prayers are said!

While the Spiritual Bouquet of Prayer Petal Flowers offers a coloring page, prayer petal templates to make Rosary flowers (each based on one decade) AND a giant wall garland to create a bouquet flowers of all 20 Mysteries of the Rosary, the kit ALSO includes an additional prayer craft for the Divine Mercy.

This one-page template includes all the flower pieces for one decade of the Divine Mercy Chaplet. Although the template can be copied onto colored paper for ready-to-cut assembly, kids will find it pretty easy to color the pieces before you even get the scissors out. The coloring doesn’t even have to be within the lines! Sloppy coloring is great…white paper left untouched adds highlights to the finished flower! =)

The petals of the flower are glued or taped to the back of the center  (“Eternal Father…”prayer) flower piece, which is glued or taped to the stem with the 3 “Holy God…” prayer leaves (recited after all 5 decades).
