Rome Day One: On our Way!

image I’m off to ROME today! I’ve been a little busy going through Customs, traversing through airports and trying to meet up with the rest of my Pilgrimage group, but this is how I

Prep for a Pilgrimage

Prep for a Pilgrimage 10 months ahead

Study for a Pilgrimage

Cram for a Pilgrimage

and Pack for a Pilgrimage!

And here’s what happened LAST time I was in Rome, when we stood up the Pope!

For those who leave a comment on our Rome posts…I’m going to have a special little gift to mail to you…hopefully blessed by the Pope! Please leave your address safely on this form. OK…so this post was actually written and scheduled well before I stepped foot into an airport. I have a number of posts scheduled while I’m away…and Wi-Fi permitting, I hope to include actual updates as I can, here on Equipping Catholic Families and our Facebook page  and at St Gemma’s Catholic Pilgrimages.

  1. Many prayers for a safe and holy trip! I am looking forward to reading about your pilgrimage. It will be fun reading about places I’ve been on my pilgrimages and on my honeymoon. It will also be fun reading about places I have not yet been…places to add to my wish list, if I ever make it back to Rome.

  2. Angela Minear says:

I have been looking forward to your trip for a while, we just booked our tickets to Rome for Thanksgiving and I want to pack in as many beautiful churches/amazing Catholic sites as possible in our few days there! So make it good, I’m looking to you for advice!!

  3. Have a wonderful time and come back with a renewed heart.
Thank you for all the wonderful ideas that helped make last year’s CCD way more fun.
    Jill

  4. You are going to have such an awesome time!!!

  5. Aren’t you sweet, requesting addresses and offering a little something to your readers?? Thank you for prayers and for including us in your travels!
I’m so excited to get these updates in my inbox!! I can’t wait to her more and I hope wifi cooperates in Roma so you can keep us all posted!!

I’ll be clicking thru some of your links up there about prepping, packing, etc! Stay safe and have a wonderful time, friend!

  6. I look forward to your posts as I, too, will be on pilgrimage for the 100th anniversary of the founding of Schoenstatt (Germany) – we leave in 23 days! After a week in this “beautiful place” of grace, we travel to Rome as well! Blessings on your travels!
