August 15th is the Feast of the Assumption!

Go to Mass today!
This is a Holy Day of Obligation…it’s the Feast Day commemorating the 4th Glorious Mystery of the Rosary. Mary’s body was taken up into Heaven. Mary’s body was the First Tabernacle of Jesus…it makes sense that her body would remain in Heaven after her life on earth!

This Feast Day is a great excuse to decorate with pictures of our Blessed Mother. You can keep them up all week until next Friday August 22, the Feast of the Queenship of Mary (…or all Month as this month’s dedication is to the Immaculate Heart of Mary)
Check out this beautiful image from Jen Norton ArtStudio I received at CMN!

Make a Mother Mary Mosaic Garden Stone! We used an old cookie tin, a bent coat hanger and some concrete along with these little pieces of colored stone and glass…13 years ago…and it’s still in our garden!

Make these tasty Assumption Parfaits from Catholic Cuisine with Berry Blue Jell-O and Cool Whip, carefully placed in layers of cloud and sky …within clear wine glasses!

Draw attention to the 4th Glorious Mystery of the Rosary: the Assumption of Mary, as you say your family Rosary.
Do you have the Revolving Rosary or the Spiritual Bouquet of Prayer Petal Flowers Cathletics Craft Kits? These paper crafts keep little hands busy while saying the Rosary, one decade at a time.
Our eldest crafted her way through many decades of the Rosary as a toddler…making the prayer-packed paper flowers and learning her prayers at the same time!

Foster love for our Blessed Mother in our kids. Adam still visits Mary whenever he sees this statue in our backyard.
