This is the Pope John Paul II TY doll made by my friend Lucia.

Pope John Paul II is very dear to our hearts!

We were inspired to continue with our family apostolate Arma Dei

by encouragement we received when

the Holy Father received our Treasure Chest book

at World Youth Day in Toronto in 2002.

I love that goofy picture on the top row. I’ve never seen that before. It’s so fun to find tangible proof that the holiest among us are not without humor–it’s a lesson for all of us, I think!

Very cute doll. Pope John Paul II was incredibly prophetic. He so inspired me to bear suffering through his great example as he endured Parkinson’s for so many years. And his hours of prayer every day are a call to holiness for sure.
