15 Lenten Printables

While I enjoy creating Catholic Printables, I’m always excited to see what others are creating to foster prayer and devotion and faith formation in the home. This year’s Catholic Mom Bundle for Lent is an awesome collection of Catholic Resources and I’m going to feature just over half of them in this post. There are even more resources available in the Bundle, but I’m focusing on the ones that grabbed my attention, particularly as printables for Lent. I’ve grouped them into Activity Packs, Journals/Programs and Prayer.

Activity Packs

Are you looking for a meaningful way to celebrate Lent? This detailed hands-on activity book comes with 12 family friendly crafts and projects for you to create, as well as discussion points to help center your faith that tie into each activity.

These are just the crafty projects I like to do with the kids. We can even pack some of them up and use them next year!

The 5 downloadable PDFs include: 2 sets of memory cards of all 14 Stations of the Cross (color and black and white); 30 Lent bingo cards in color and black and white plus a DIY card to create additional cards as needed; calling cards and chips to distribute (you can also use flat glass marbles, plastic bingo chips, pennies or board game pieces)

These are beautiful and compelling illustrations for the Stations of the Cross! There is a black and white template that can be colored while meditated on.

Engage your students with this Super Bundle containing learning activities for the entire Lenten season. It’s the perfect introduction to the Stations of the Cross devotion for Catholic families.

You and your students can discuss the events — “How do you think Veronica felt?”, “Do you think Simon the Cyrene was frightened?”, “Would you have helped Jesus carry His Cross?”

I love how cute and kid-friendly these Stations are!

This lapbook features everything to walk children through Lent. From Lenten promises, to Stations of the Cross, to the events of Holy Week, and more – everything will be created, assembled, and kept in one handy resource for students to refer to and add to throughout Lent. Also included is Easter bingo which reviews the vocabulary and events from Holy Week.

There are so many things packed into this lapbook. Your kids will love putting the whole collection together!

No regrets this Lent!  Help prepare your family’s hearts for the celebration of Easter with the printable Jesus Tree Lent Devotion. The 47 Jesus Tree ornaments, one for each day of Lent, will keep little hands busy coloring as your family reads and contemplates the life of Jesus through scripture.  Follow in the footsteps of Christ beginning with the Nativity and then moving through His ministry, death, and resurrection.

I’ve always wanted to create a Jesus Tree printable, but this printable has all the symbols from Jesus’ life already designed and formatted for a fun activity and set you can keep for years to come!

Create a tradition of Scripture reading in your family with the Family Scripture Spin-to-Read. The craft can be used to facilitate and foster a love of the Scriptures with your family.

The Family Handbook is designed to put all of your families’ values, traditions, and goals into one book, keeping it neat and accessible for future use. Writing down your intentions really helps to put them into practice, and this printable handbook can help you become more intentional with a Catholic family culture.

I just love innovative ideas like this to get the family reading scripture. This would be great for Lent, but you may just keep it spinning all year long!

This is the Craft Kit I launched just in time for the Catholic Mom Bundle!
The Mentors of Mercy Craft Kit includes templates featuring illustrated examples of Mercy, exemplified by Jesus and the Saints.
17 pages of templates can be colored and assembled to create 3 Booklets, Carousel or Accordion Centerpieces: Corporal Works of Mercy, Spiritual Works of Mercy and Mysteries of Mercy from Jesus’ Public Ministry.

Journals and Lenten Programs

With this prayer journal, you’ll experience Holy Week in a whole new way. Each day from the Saturday before Palm Sunday through the Resurrection has Bible readings, reflections, prayers, and journal prompts to help you immerse yourself in the reality of Jesus’ Passion, death and Resurrection.
I really like the thoughtful reflections and the creative templates to journal in!
And with the focus on Holy Week, it’ll be perfect timing to add a little extra program and re-focus the final week of Lent!

Letters of Love is a Lenten meditation for differently-wired families. It combines simple prayer, Scripture, and the wisdom of the saints with suggestions for sacrifice, service, and family activities.

I really like how unique and engaging this with the reflections, prompts and extension activities to get the whole family involved.

How will God speak to you this Lent?

Experience God’s love through the words that surround you each and every day. Each week, complete  a guided meditation on a quote that resonates with you. In this unique way of listening to the Lord, may you be drawn deeper into His love and be made more confident of the path set before you.

I always write down quotes from the saints or scripture in my journal, but they can easily get lost within the pages. It would also be daunting to try and look a particular quote up within my stack of journals, but this Quote Journal offers a unique place to record and reflect on favorite spiritual quotes.

Using the saints as inspiration, Finding Tidy with the Saints is a spiritual approach to addressing a common problem: clutter, mess and overwhelm with the state of the home.

I love the focus of Finding Tidy with the Saints. It’s so easy to get overwhelmed by the state of the house and it’s refreshing to call on the Saints for wisdom in this area!

Six weeks, one family. Pray, play and talk together while you learn more about the Lenten disciplines of prayer, fasting and almsgiving. Includes 6 grab and go, NO-PREP NO-MESS lesson plans for a weekly evening of family catechesis and fun. Follow up each family night with a community-based challenge to go deeper into your faith while exploring your local area.

I love how this eBook combines prayer, teaching and reflection along with an action plan to practice the Lenten Disciplines in fun, engaging ways. I’d like to think that my craft kit Mentors of Mercy (also in the Bundle and described above) could be incorporated within the reflection and activity time related to the Works of Mercy.

Women have the ability to change their marriage in a big way. Do one small thing for your husband each day for 40 days and notice the change in your marriage!
This is a great way to refocus on your marriage, no matter how busy life is!

Prayer

The Divine Mercy Novena Journal is a perfect addition to enhance your devotion to the novena adding Merciful love in your life. The journal has a section to ponder this powerful novena as well as coloring with the words of St. Faustina.
I just love the Divine Mercy Novena and while it’s a great thing to take on during Lent, it will be great to have this journal on hand on Good Friday when the official Novena begins!

Grow closer to Jesus through His Sorrowful Mother. Discover the depths of her sorrow, the strength of love she has in her Son, and let her lead you closer to Him, especially in Hs Passion and Crucifixion.

As mothers, we suffer with our kids, but no mother has experienced the depths of sorrow and suffering like our Lady! We can draw closer to Jesus through Mary, as we meditate on Our Lady of Sorrows.

Comments

  1. Many of the resources are available separately by the various contributors, but the value of each resource is at least $12, so the Bundle really is a phenomenal deal! My Mentors of Mercy Craft Kit is available at http://www.ArmaDei.com for $15.

  2. Colleen Nieckula says:

Are these being offered ala carte? Or are they only in the bundle? Thank you!
