This is the time of year, I inevitably start to panic a little. Our previous plans to avoid an extravagant Christmas are called into question as we marvel at the buying frenzy…and worry that we have enough for everyone…

It is true… I am a fan of the Saints. I have eagerly read about a number of them over the years and I just keep getting blown away by their lives, their Faith and their examples of Holiness. In my passion for researching the saints, I have in the last year released a number of craft kits featuring my 15 year old daughter’s drawings of over 44 Saints!
After my recent trip to Rome…I’m even more inspired by the Saints! All of them!
With the Feast of All Saints coming up…I thought I’d offer a sitemap of Saints activities and craft kits, along with All Saints resources I have collected online.

I like to follow. Heading off for a pilgrimage with 27 people was a little daunting. I was wondering how that was going to work, touring busy Churches and sacred sites! I learned that I really like to follow the leader with the umbrella, totally free from testing my faulty navigational skills. I like having the saint relics, tombs and significant artwork pointed out to me…because I don’t want to miss a thing.
Only a couple more days before I jump on a plane to Rome! I know! I can’t believe it!
As hard as it is to believe I’m going to be walking around Rome NEXT WEEK…I’m also coming to grips with being away from my whole family for 12 days! I’ll be traveling with an extended-family-sized group of pilgrims, but I’m pretty sure that no one will be asking me to take them to the bathroom or cut their dinner into bite-sized pieces.
Do I admit that I was thinking about altering my post about Packing for Rome…just to fit the 7 Quick Takes, so that I wouldn’t have to squeeze in a post before I go to bed? Well, I decided that there has been enough going on warranting a brand new 7 Quick Takes…but I’m hoping that I can write this pretty fast and catch some zzzzz’s. Here goes:

We were happy to have the opportunity to view this new movie coming out: The Identical. Emily and I saw it and enjoyed the music, the wholesome family message and just the right amount of early Rock ‘n Roll rebellion.

This is a Holy Day of Obligation…it’s the Feast Day commemorating the 4th Glorious Mystery of the Rosary. Mary’s body was taken up into Heaven. Mary’s body was the First Tabernacle of Jesus…it makes sense that her body would remain in Heaven after her life on earth!
